Great Golf on a Classic Course
When Merrimack Valley Golf Club opened in 1906, it was only the second course the legendary golf course architect, Donald Ross, had designed in New England.
One hundred years later, a sympathetic restoration makes it a joy to play, with unusually wide-open vistas and spectacular views reminiscent of a classic links course. It's a championship course Ross himself would appreciate, challenging but fair, with a variety of features and scaled for the enjoyment of duffers and pros alike.
Golf Digest award winner George F. Sargent, Jr., a legacy Donald Ross designer, has created a par-70 course with an excellent mix of holes. There are greens to test one's short game, holes where a driver is definitely in order, and fairways requiring more precise shots. Consider the par-5 eighth hole, where one's third shot to the elevated crowned green is key, or the par-3 eleventh, surrounded by water. No wonder so many local leagues choose to play at Merrimack Valley Golf Club.
During the off season, Merrimack Valley Golf Club is open by appointment only. To learn more about membership opportunities or to arrange a tour of our facility, please contact: Kevin 978-683-7771 x3.
